The March to Nowhere will have no impact on that fact that we could become a landless tribe bound to  the Town of Mashpee and Cedric’s good friend the Town Manager. Sold out to a new master. Bet Cedric keeps getting a check.

The Cromwell administration has yet to present a strategy for the  Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe  that will actually do something to benefit the tribal members.  Trust us,  a march from Collins Lot to the council office  is a bootleg attempt to rally support for a totally lost cause. Unless you have 1,000 people it has no impact.  Even after you do, it’s gobbled  up in the news cycle and has no impact on a government that could care less.

The lost cause is the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, failure to find  a new path  for taking our land in trust.  Okay so Shovel Ready Ceddie wants to sue the DOI  BIA because it could not do it.  What the federal agencies decided was, that there was no way around the Carcieri decision rendered by the US Supreme Court. We did not meet that criteria so the federal district court sent it back to the BIA and said ” maybe the tribe has other options?” And after screwing around for quite a while, the BIA said, Nah.

Well, we all knew what was going to happen.  And Cedric’s response is to sue the BIA.  That’s tantamount to suing or appealing the Supreme Court Carcieri decision.  The US Supreme Court is the end of the line. Suing the BIA is like suing the US Supreme Court because they are adhering to the final ruling.  But really people……it’s just another way for Cedric and the payola tribal council members to keep getting paid.  Let’s rewind for a minute .

For over 2 years this hand off to the BIA to ” find a new path” has been languishing at the agency.  Cedric knew the outcome.  Anyone with an iota of education knew the outcome.  Instead of trying to exercise options to benefit the tribe, Cedric and the payola council members kept taking pay checks, doing nothing and collecting millions to vote as Cedric  told them to.  Meanwhile the tribe has absolutely nothing established for the future.

Congressman Keating, City Manager Rodney Collins and Shovel Ready who is grinning like a Cheshire cat anticipating another reprieve at our expense. Meet the new master.

All the people who set up the bogus LIT application are gone, the overpaid consultants,and lawyers who also made millions. Course Messy Jessie is still here exploiting the tribe with her scams in her family tradition.  Cedric has a new friend at the Town of Mashpee.  The former police chief who used to arrest his enemies and harass tribal members, is the town manager. Hmmmmm. Well the town is trying to join the congressional legislation which was pointed our by former tribal vice chairman Aaron Tobey.  Tobey has filed suit saying  the town has ulterior motives that will greatly restrict our sovereignty.  And he’s right. Extraordinary is  the fact that Cedric never exercised due diligence with the town as a legitimate tribal government because he was oblivious to the need to build a relationship  and prove our legitimacy and earn respect.  Now he crawls begging for their help with lobbyists and legal help. The Town of Mashpee will own us if the congress allows  it to insert itself..

Instead of building a team to do the job in the congress years ago.  He just kept taking a check,.   Details tomorrow of the whole sorry deal.

schemes, are losing propositions.  Let’s start with this years home coming.  You couldn’t call it a Pow Wow.  Oh whatever.  Call it the Indian costume party or such and such  It’s always some kind of imitation. The only thing that is genuine is the youth competition. Cedric has been successful at downgrading the Pow Wow…very successful at that. The once much anticipated Mashpee Wampanoag Pow Wow has become an event attended by those who expect some kind of spectacle.  And Cedric provides it every time.

Anyway, Cedric always starts groveling around when things are looking bad.  He had hip replacement surgery.  Now a days it takes a short time to recover.  Of course, he comes in, on a walker with the big bodyguard looking nasty..well he starts something with Joey Dias and he’s run out of there. But luckily for Cedric, the torrential rain came and everyone broke camp.

But Cedric’s reprieve did not last long. A petition was circulating at the Pow Wow  for the next 2 days that is pretty kicking your a– in nature. It’s not the amount of money (like $11K) involved but it’s where the money was stolen from and by whom.  His  wife, the First Lady  was ordered to reimburse Indian Health Services ( because she was double billing) on travel and other nafarious things.  Ahem…..well, she never did it.  Ya can’t steal from the FEDS.  Not $10.

So here’s Cheryl Frye ( Cromwell), who’s not an ” Indside Frye” but an ” Outside-Frye” still acting  like she’s on the dole instead of

someone who’s combined income (with Ceddie) is somewhere between $400K -$550K (that we know about) still lookin’ for an extra dime here and there. The Inside  Fryes know Cheryl didn’t protect them from the firing squad, but what she didn’t count on was that the remainig Fryes were in places that knew where the money was funny. Oh yes. Very funny. So the petition is all about Cheryl and her failure to repay IHS like she shoulda. Think about all those contrived awards she got from IHS.  Apparently they’ll know what  a crook she is now.

The Frye insurrection is a two edged sword.  They’re worried because they know a whole lot and they have to answer why they never said anything. That also goes for the finance people who came before them and Mark Harding…ahem.They forget that they were going right along with everything before all their relatives got fired. A small contingent of “Inside Fryes” (qualified) stepped up.

They want to FRY Cheryl and REMOVE Cedric. Yes, get him outta there.  To do that the Council, has to decide the corruption issue of malfeasance because they have to vote on the removal of anyone.The petition means the council has to have a  special meeting on this subject to hear the complaint. They have the proof on Cheryl and the “Inside Fryes” have enough on Cedric to be dangerous. Sort of like Michael Cohen on Trump.They could also remove Treasurer Gordon Harris too because he was coimplicit.The Fryes have been chatting this up for a month or two. They have meeting on Rt. 130 regularly. and they’re not the only family mad about our latrine status. Everyone is mad about being scammed.

Gordon Gordon Gordon…the reluctant, resentful Mashpee Wampanoag. Acceptance is a big problem for you too. Hiding the truth,thinking he’s smarter than everyone. Well, you have some serious questions to answer also.

It’s obvious that Ceddie and Cheryl know this  because they started canceling council meetings again. Of course this is what happens when you have a dictatorship.  Things are out of control.  And when you have someone like Shovel Ready Ceddie in charge, he doesn’t have the decency to resign.But the jig is up.  Everyone is tierd of being pimped out.

Scared of the masses showing up and demanding a vote Cedric is trying to figure his next move because he can’t keep canceling meetings.  As things get worse, his supporters will flake off and try to save themselve.  But the fact remains that he does not have the votes. He is actually bringing the families together again which is a good thing.  The family that was rewarded and then turned out is the one that could mobilize the core of the Tribe.

Course there are council members that will do that and with proof of theft and malfeasance, say goodbye Mr. Chairman, the First Lady.and Gordon Harris. There are also council members who have participated in the scheme who are turning a blind eye to the corruption.  Well that’s not acceptable is it? The Vice Chairman Jessie Baird neglects her duties has missed  numberous meetings making her eligible for  removable and is on the record saying that she does not come to council or Sunday meetting because she doesn’t want to be criticized.  Well, step  aside girl. give your big fat check (over $100K) to several needy families.  Your’re supposed to resolve our problems and do some damned work. It’s amazing that she never comes to work or council meetings but she get over $10 K a month.  Boy what we could do with that!

Let’s take a look at those minutes….oh, no minutes? Right. Do you realize we have a government that has  no record of what the hell they’re doing? Kinda like Trump who probably sold us  into slavery to the Russians, Indians and all. We’d probaly be in another circus like Squanto had to endure in Great Britan. I digress.

The Town of Mashpee the “Benevolent Benefactor!”

Mashpee Wamps are known for testing people and breaking them down. Mullon is the latest example of a lifeline thrown to us because of Shovel Ready Ceddie’s failure to deliver. May the Creator be with you David Mullon. The ones in charge are not our sharpest knives in the drawer.

The irony of all this is too much.  Cedric clearly went to the Town and begged.  Okay.  We get that, but it’s not for us, it’s for him to keep getting a check you see? Okay but the Town is not pure in this deal either.They know Cedric is incapable of handling this. The Town is going to hire a well qualified attorney in Native American law, David Mullon,  who has worked for the Oklahoma Cherokees and was Attorney General to the Muskogee Creek Nation. He also was staff dirrector to various committees dealing with Native American issues so he knows his way around the Congress and the Republican members during his tenure in the early 2000’s.His job is to  to push our legislation through to preserve our reservation status.  Okay, we’re for that and it can be done, but by a lone advocate in this dysfunctional Congress? Pretty tough. Normally it takes an army of firms to tackle something like this. And  all of of legislative sponsors are pretty unpopular. But that’s expected to change soon.  Mullon is 67 years old with credentials in Indian Country and a good reputation in DC. But, many of the members he worked for and with are gone.  But here’s the bigger question…what’s in it for the Town.  Why are they pulling out the respirator for the town’s poor pitiful namesake?

They don’t like us all of a sudden. And Cedric didn’t help matters by failing to at least talk to our occupiers, nation to nation. No he was gettin’ that check and such. Now its all gone to hell and the town sees where this going.  The BIA is going to drop us like bad breathe. And guess who else has disappeared? Genting.  Why arent they hiring the lobbyists? Cause they are out.

And the Town.  Well, the Town does not want us on their welfare rolls. It’s all very bad PR for the Town. Treating the Greeters of the Pilgrims like begars.   We have no way to pay the taxes when the Trumpsters yank our LIT and we’re once again without a reservation. It’s worth it for them to make a run at salvaging our dignity.

After 6 months of languishing, the bill is coming up in committee Tuesday and guess who’s testifying? Cedric.  You ought to have Earl Mills or someone real Mashpee testify so we would stand a chance.  But no, he’s got to get up there lookin’ like Dent surrounded by you know who…will he have his walker?

What the hell did they do with half a billion dollars? What did they do with the $175 million dumped into the Gaming Commision slush fund this year? It’s so absurd you wonder how and why Cedric dares to show his face.Too sad for words

The Cape Cod Times basically rewrote the Regan press release and never checked the viability of the bill.  We said it was a fluke before the CCT wrote the story.

Okay. Shovel Ready Ceddie has pretty good luck with getting his phony press releases into  the 24 hour news cycle. All this effort  (by the Regan PR firm at $15K a month) is the result of lame strategies to make it appear as though land in trust is just over the horizon and the casino is still a possibility. All false and fake news. Recently, the Cape Cod Times was duped and published a front page story claiming that the congressional bill was going to save us from the numbskulls who have scamed us into oblivion.

Keep Hope Alive…or JUST KEEP LYING LIKE  YOU ALWAYS DO

So Cromwell continues to try to justify his paycheck with fake news.  And let’s not forget the hefty salaries paid to the council members to keep them voting the right way.  Remember Hendricks and Dias don’t get a pay check. The salaried council members just authorize direct deposit. And that’s all they do. Our media review comes with a sidebar.We have to say, it’s very likely that the CCT is working on a bigger investigative story about tribal council salaries and the salaries (and the contracts) of all the lawyers and consultants.And there’s a good possibility that the CCT has all that information, sort of like Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and is trying to figure out what the hell Cedric and the consultants did with nearly $450 million.  Ya. Won’t that be a damn fine revelation? Yes sireeeeeeeeeee.

SO LET’S GIVE THE MASHPEE ENTERPRISE THEIR PROPS OKAY?

So the Enterprise did a story that told the truth. While the Tribe suffers, Cedric and the Council keeps getting paid. Its time to get beyond the embarrassment of be scammed. It really is.

Well the little paper that mimics The New York Time style very nicely, confirmed what we said in our May 20 post.  The ME said that the congressional legislation in the House and the Senate had not had a committee hearing in the House or Senate and published the salaries of the council, that we talked about.  Appaarently he got a copy of the slick budget with no content.  They also made mention of the fact that there was no previous budget to compare to. Confirmation confirmation confirmation.  We have a huge problem, but Ceddie has a bigger problem.  No money to pay people off.  No base vote to keep him propped up.  Either the money runs out or the Tribe gets rid of him.  He’s running things on a slim magin of support. 2 votes is not enough to stop a people who have nothing to show for $450m in debt and  the humiliation of being tricked by a guy who went to Roxbury Community College.

And the CCT has something up it’s sleave.  Let’s see if Regan can defend the indefensible after making over a $1million off us over 6 years.

People elected to leadership positions are very strange.  They have enormous egos and start out with very good intentions. They have big ideas and want to fix things so you can be grateful to them. Well, there’s a downside, they’ll accept  your flaws, yes.But,  when you’re elected, you become their whipping boy for everything that goes wrong.  That’s what they elected you for.  Now in our  Tribal government there’s a different setup.  No democracy, just Cedric, and Carlo raising hell, constantly.and the council clown show, running around  with their hands stuck out for that check.  Free money.

It would be different if Cedric had a few victories but as we said. he’s got a donut and a lot of really distressingly bad moves that brought bad consequences for the Tribe.

We lost all credibility on every level….with the Town of Mashpee, the state of Massachusetts, legitimate financial institutions and communities around us.

Without and end game strategy beyond getting paid, Cedric was erratic and misguided.It would ultimately kill any hope of our getting a casino.  But the thing Reel Wamps warned against, and repeatedly was the fact that Shovel Ready Ceddie never had a plan for the Tribe’s sustainability when things went south.  We said it, we will say it again, it was never part of the plan.  It’s not part of the plan now. It’s about Cedric and his paid voters (the council). What is the Tribe supposed to do without any economic development plan or means of generating cash flow? Right.  This is what brought us to this disastrous place.

Taunton was bad real estate and no historic tie to us. That torpedoed the LIT application because Messy Jessie and the so called experts were creating history about why or how were so far north.  Just a damned lie. Historians and experts know that was not our territory.

The sellers gouged the hell out of us because they knew Cedric was desperate and dumb. The Taunton land was not contiguous. It was  about one third the acres we had in Middleboro and cost 25x’s as much.  So they had to pay the old investors and just spent a lot of money on puzzle pieces they couldn’t put together.  Worst of all, it was Taunton.  And they had a handful of residents who had the BIA documents that said were were not under federal jurisdiction before 1933 (the 2009 US Supreme Court mandate).  We told them that, and that the previous administrations efforts to use that was rejected. So the pesky Tauntonites won the court case, technically.

Okay so they keep bumping around rudderles.  Designing and  redesigning the casino. And guess where  all the  money is going? To Gentings architects.  Money laundering again.  What does Cedric care? That’s what he gets paid to do.   First, the Asino has a hotel, then it doesn’t because nothing is going right, then the brain trust of lawyers try to pass state legislation to amend the compact to allow the tribe to go commercial, well that didn’t work.  Can you imagine what the Mass Gaming Commission thought?

Tauntonites and threw the damned thing back to the Department of Interior (BIA) and told them to fix it a few months after the agency took the land into trust. Meanwhile the Mass Gaming Commission is blowing up (late winter 2016) about their mistake of holding the southeastern region hostage to SRC and his madness. We laughed when it was clear that they really thought the Cromwell administration could pull this off.

The next boot to drop was when  Bank of America pulled out (April 2016). They were supposed to build this great Asino. No LIT, mayhem and judicial order to hold all construction made  the risk way too high. BOA wanted out so bad,hey said we didn’t have to pay them anything.  All was forgiven. Bank of America walked away wiping their brow in relief.

There are no unknowns anymore.

SRC knows the the the Department of  Interior cannot and will not help.  It will return a negative finding to the court. That will take our land out of  trust permanently. So Shovel Ready came up with his last stand in the Congress. They pulled a PR move and got a bill sponsored to protect our land in trust knowing that Interior is going to abandon us. US Senate Bill 2628 sponsored by Keating and Warren of course which was refered to the Committee on Indian Affairs in early March, and House Bill 5244 which was buried in two committees, Natural Resources and Indian Affairs.  No action on the legislation in 21/2 months.  That’s how you kill a bill. Never give it a hearing.  Also have one of the Republicans most despised Senators, Warren, sponsor a bill to help you.  Hummmmmm. The bills are

Elizabeth visited the Mashpee recently. Of course she and SRC could share war stories on ” what’s in a roll number?”

DOA, just like the  mess SRC sent to the statehouse on the same drill.

So people have we gotten our $450 million worth?

Now the Tribe, oh sorry Cedric, has a pledge from Genting for $450,000 a month. That’s not much considering what they used to get when the Fryebal was rolling.   About half of that goes to Cedric and the gang for salaries and other nonsensical items and don’t forget Genting takes its  money off the top.No employees are coming back  To show you how crazy it’s getting, the chairman’s getting a raise to about $220K and council members get a boost too. So you’re broke and there’s no plan to help the Tribe pay bills and secure a future beyond living off the grants? Well of course not.

A slim Ceddie with Sherry and next to it the horror of a raggedy headdress sunglasses, buckskin leggings and a lousy ribbon shirt that frightened onlookers. The picture was seen all over the world. Yes, it was.

Cedric Cromwell was determined to turn himself into a Mashpee Indian.  That was a painful metamorphosis. But actually he really shoulda taken his show on the road. Ceddie was really funny to watch in the crazy get ups.  If you didn’t see him in person in the riggings, the pictures would cause tears to run down your face from laughter at the disastrous combinations. Shovel Ready Ceddie did not have a single friend in the Tribe to stear him right.  Another tell tale sign.

So after Genting bought Cedric and his crew, he started looking for land to build his “Asino.” Never mind the fact we had no land in trust, a compact or a strategy to do either .  We did have a lot of lawyers and consultants who had no experience in Indian law or the political wherewithal to do the jobs. They all got paid millions to play and took full advantage of a chairman out of his depth completely. On top of it all, Cedric lacked credibility as a man, a Native and a professional.  He exaggerated his professional experience at Fidelity saying he handled millions of dollars in investments for clients. Right and he attended Roxbury Community College to achieve that right?  Actually he was a tech guy. He lacked any of the compassion, interest or understanding of our uniqueness as a people who survived 400 years of encroachment and hardship.  Again, he didn’t know what a “roll” was and turned against the very people who helped legitimize him  (and his mother) as members of this Tribe.

When you compare Cromwell to our other leaders over the past century, Cedric lacks even the most basic attributes worthy of a Mashpee leader. They were very smart, resourceful and famous for their humor. The only thing he has in common with them is power.  He used it against us to empower himself.

He’s not that smart either.  How about the time he jumped in a helicopter and flew over the Bay State looking for casino land from the air. He got the moniker ” Whirlie Bird” on that one. Then he went on to Fall River (we had no historic ties to the area)….and gave  the town a $2 million deposit on land designated for bio tech research by U Mass and the state. Ya. And the deposit was non-refundable. It was incredibly embarrassing.

Meanwhile the debt and the scandals multipied.  The money was rolling and the American Express cards were on fire.  Remember Mark Harding renting porn videos on the Tribal card? Sure you do. Just messy business.  We thought this would take maybe 3 installments, but clearly its going to take more ! Getting to this latest budget vote is pretty awful.
