Tribe charts new course, the resistance strengthens

Tribal voters decided to change direction and ushered in a new majority group of council members ready to oust the embattleded council chairman. Cedric Cromwell started this election cycle disadvantaged by two open seats. His soon to be ex wife Cheryl decided not to seek re election along with Winnona Pocknett, who was never a strong council member.

Two Cromwell  incumbents Winnie Johnson (212) and Yvonne Frye Avant (187)who continues to barely make it on to the council each time she seeks re election. Top vote getters  were Brian Weeden (346) Rita Pocknett Gonsalves (309) Carlton Hendricks, Jr (232) and Aaron Tobey a committed reformist (201).

Cromwell’s biggest problem is that he has a weak leadership team.  Look at them. Je$$ie, Anne Marie and Gordon Harris. They will dip at a moments notice. And there’s David Weeden who dodges any decision but most of the time comes down on the side of Cedric depending on Cedric’s status. But the resistance is gaining ground and votes.

There’s more tomorrow.  Congratulations to al the winners and thank you to those who presented their names for consideration.
